Criteria: This item is a pair of unit crest, or distinctive unit insignia, for the 103rd Field Artillery Regiment. This item displays the motto of the unit, “Play The Game,” across the bottom scroll. Above this is a field piece next to a pyramid of cannon balls which was adapted from the Providence Marine Corps Artillery, an ancestor unit that was part of the Rhode Island militia after the Revolutionary War. The six fleur-de-lis are symbolic of the unit’s service in France during World War I.
